The Principality of Monaco is proudly participating to the Earth Hour event that will take place globally on Saturday March 30th 2019 at 8:30pm local time.
What is Earth Hour
Earth Hour is an event that is also known as “One hour to save the planet”. It started as a symbolic "lights out" event in Sydney, Australia back in 2007. Every year since then, millions of people, businesses and landmarks all over the world, set aside an hour to host events, switch off their lights and make noise for the Earth Hour movement. This year the event will celebrate the diversity of life on Earth, and everyone can participate!
The 65th Rose Ball will take place on Saturday March 30th, 2019 in the Salle des Etoiles at the Sporting Monte-Carlo.
This year's edition will be very special as it will pay hommage to Karl Lagerfeld. Karl Lagerfeld had designed the concept of the last five Rose Balls and he is greatly missed this year. May his soul rest in peace.
The theme of this year's ball is "The Riviera", theme chosen by Karl Lagerfeld himself before his passing last February.

Concerts and shows are taking place at the Salle Empire at the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the Salle Garnier located in the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, as well as the Oceanographic Museum, Rainier III Musical Academy, the Grimaldi Forum, Saint Charles Church and the Théâtre Princesse Grace.
Goût de France / Good France is a delicious initiative that takes place all over the world to celebrate French cuisine. This food festival will take place in the Principality of Monaco on Thursday March 21, 2019 in numerous restaurants across Monaco. Several Chefs from your beloved restaurants will prepare you a "diner à la française" for the 5th edition of this gourmet festival.
"Goût de France" means "Taste of France" with a beautiful play on words as its pronunciation is very close to "Good France".
Goût de France / Good France is an event that is organized by the French Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs ; 5000 chefs across 5 continents will cook French cuisine on this one special night that is Thursday March 21, 2019. What an incredible energy to be shared for all gourmet food lovers!

Monegascu is a dialect that takes inspiration from both French and Italian languages and dialectes. Monegascu came about in the Middle Ages when Italians from Genoa came to Monaco to make it a stronghold ; which attracted many people from Nice, Ventimiglia, Torino and the surroundings. Everyone spoke their own dialectes which therefore ended up enriching the unified language spoken in Monaco.

The Principality of Monaco is known for her love of ecology and for fast cars, the Monte-Carlo eRallye is the perfect blend of both and the 3rd Monte-Carlo eRallye will take place October 24 - 28, 2018.
The event is only for 100% electric vehicles, without the use of extension cables, and 100% hydrogenated or hybrid electric/hydrogen vehicles with 4 wheels. All vehicles must be registered for road use, with a capacity of 2 to 5 passengers, and only 45 vehicles will be admitted for this year's edition.
